Mileage, service history any works completed may all help with an online diagnosis but the codes will help. :y

What makes you think thrust bearing :question

put in 4 gear and try to take off, if it slips like crazy then new cluth etc, if it stalls its ok, also may help find what other noise is.  dont do it to many times though.

Don`t need a code reader mate. Do the pedal trick http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687 :y

P0650 Malfunction Indicator (MI) Control Circuit Open Instrument
P0700 Transmission control system range/performance
P0704 Clutch Switch Input Circuit Malfunction
P1110 Intake Manifold Valve 1 Voltage High
P1110 Intake Manifold Valve 1 Voltage Low
P1110 Intake Manifold Valve 1 Open

HTH probably not like but i tried :y

0650 - MIL fault - e.g. dash ecu light
1110 - Intake manifold valve 1 - check the connector to the mutliram solenoid on the back of the plenum - passenger side

would it be the SWITCHOVER SOLENOID VALVE ???

Correct, the one at the rear of the plenum.....

As for the noise, can you get a lever behind the lower pulley and see if it will move for and aft slightly?

and i will have to have a look in the morning i cant see anything outside lol but will let you know..

im not to sure i have only had the car a month ,, well what happens is normally at about 70+ mph or hardish acceleration the car starts to missfire and lose power and will continue to missfire till the car is pulled over switched off but when started again it will run fine untill up at speed again or hardish acceleration :S ??

Seen that before with a clogged fuel filter.....due to the miss fire the ecu shuts 1 or 2 cylinders down to protect the cats....this gets reset on a re-start

i think when it did it it was running on petrol becasue it dont run on gas till it warms up enough ,, i think i tried to put it on gas when it was missfireing and still did it ,, im not 100% sure if it was runnin on gas any other times its done it ,, what would it be if it was doin it on gas aswell ???

If gas as well I would expect it to be ignition based but, it should report miss fire codes then....if petrol only the fuel filter sounds likely and once the miss fire has started and the injector is shut down then the lpg would do the same (as the LPG ecu's simply modify the petrol injector signal)

well i put it on a code reader a few days after it had started doing it ,, and it did come up with missfire codes 2 cylenders i think it said ,, i cleared the errors with it , but still did it with speed or accel ,, so if its ignition based what would that probably be ??

Coil pakc possibly or failed cam cover gaskets.....or or or.....have a look at the fuel filter first though as if its crappy looking, rule it out by changing it

well i will get a fuel filter anyway better to have a new 1 :)

and the rocker cover gaskets are leaking so would that cause it ??

i have new gaskets for it just not had chance to fit them yet ,, and i guess if both of those fail coil pack :( lol

Make sure the gaskets are genuine VX and not pattern ones or you'll be changing them again in a couple of weeks :y

I have a 03 plate 2.6 v6 mig with a brc  lpg onversion and encountered much the same problem as you.  misfired at speed and eventually wouldnt stop misfiring  (fault codes misfiring on 3 and 5). turned engine off and removed key before changing over to petrol only.  car ran perfectly with no misfires and concluded that it was an lpg injector problem, got a couple of new brc injectors £55 each (after eventually finding a brc fitter) and car worked as it should on gas and petrol alike for about 6 months and it started misfiring again on both lpg and petrol this time(same error codes) and had to keep pumping accelerator before the car would start.  went to a garage i know and had the 2 coil packs replaced.  old ones were corroded and cracked with oil from the rockers and rain water sitting in the wells.  fingers crossed the car drives like a dream now. well i have one slight problem and that it still has difficulty in starting when on gas but start using petrol and change over manually when car has started.  but that is nothing compared to loss of power and misfiring. hope you get yours sorted soon.
