Title: COLD RUNNING PROBLEM
Post by: Tony H on 10 January 2010, 11:04:01
Hi all, having problems on starting. The engine is a comparetive pig to fire up and when it does the tick over bounces between 500 to 1200 rpm then untill it warms up it will frequently stall, it an auto by the way. Once it is warm it runs normally. This problem started after I cleaned the ICV and gave it a dose of injector cleaner. Is this coincidence or have I caused it :-/?
Footnote I followed the guide to clean the ICV and didn't poke anything in it. Any suggestions please?

Both my previous mini f/l mig and my current f/l did this when the SAI broke/wore out. Maybe try removing the SAI fuse to see what happens ? You dont need the SAI , so removing the fuse doesnt cause any faults or issues.

ETA: Heres the thread on it http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1258149487/0

Is there any way to bench test the ICV can you apply 12v across the terminals to observe its operation also to aid cleaning and lubrication? :-/
