Title: Rain sensitive wipers
Post by: Bourne on 16 January 2010, 19:33:21
Does anyone know whether it's possible to retro fit the standard intermittent wipe set up instead of the rain sensitive type?Mine's rubbish. I've tried shouting at it, but it still wipes when it feels like it instead of when I can't see out of the windscreen.!

Disconnect the sensor from the screen, you wont break the glass.

But then there's no intermittent control.I would like the older type set up with the adjuster on the stalk.

Does it have the cruise control buttons on the end? I'll need to find out what else is involved.Hoping it's just a matter of disconnecting the screen sensor , plugging in a relay & changing the stalk.

the rh one controls the mid/tid. the lh the cruise. if your car has a tid display then the wiper control will fit it.

on the subject of wipers... (maybe this should be a seperate thread?)
how do you stop the headlamp washers spraying when you just want the windowscreen washers to work? or is it just a worn stalk?
