Acting as if battery is flat, but battery is ok? Very slow turning over as if it's a flat battery, lights don't dim, could it be starter motor or a bad connection? / Earth? :( :'(

All are highly likely suspects .......
I'd start with the earthing.
Easily eliminated by firmly clamping a jump lead from the battery negative terminal to a suitable point (such as a manifold stud), and see what happens.
Another check that I'd do is to carefully examine the main battery-to-starter-motor cable and it's connections. Personally, I'm unhappy with it's routeing.

just had another thought have had this one one time, the solunude pin was bent and starter just moved slowly. had to get a new one.

Took it to friend today (auto electrician) all is ok but he said I've a lazy starter motor, anyone got a good recommendation as to where to get it sorted (near Wolverhampton)? Thanks.

Steve, try and find a replacement starter at a breakers yard, either the mig, range rover or BMW 2.5TD will do as they are all the same. If you need a hand changing it, I#m only down the road in Dudley :y
