Title: Wiper motor removal
Post by: amba on 19 January 2010, 17:04:44
I am certain that my HBV is leaking and will be replacing it in the next day or so with my newly purchased genuine VX part.
When I have worked on that area before I ahve just struggled with the limited access but have always managed to remove and refit.
After reading several write ups it seems more access can be acheived with wiper motor removed...how do you do this an any pointers needed to be aware of

There's 4 hex headed self tappers that hold the wiper motor & all the linkage in place. Just becarefull of the driver's wing area as it could be all too easy to scratch the paint, it's a snug fit!  :y

Just the 4 screws then ? and does it improve the access that much .

I'd considered the removing wiper assembly easy enough to not bother trying the HBV with them in place.  :y  :y

So a couple of wing protecter mats is the answer then.?
Seems a shame to fix leak and then need a respray !!
