Title: indicator switch
Post by: dbr on 24 January 2010, 23:37:09
My indicator switch is now putting main beam on when signalling. Easy to turn off but annoying me and probably 100's of others. No TC on it. New switch likely. How much and should it be a vx part or not.

Consensus seems to be buy VX genuine at about £48??

I bought pattern off vauxcentre (ebay) with cruise for £24 delivered, failed after 2 months, replaced it like for like-not sure how long this will last.

Would now agree VX is best for this part  :y

I keep seeing posts on here about this part being useless as a pattern piece or used piece as likely to develop same fault, lived this myself, so would buy genuine now.
Easy enough to swap-see if you can find someone with a trade card to help.  May be cheaper if not cruise too  :y

I have a good mate who owns a garage so maybe he can get it cheaper. He has always done the buisness when I have called on his services in the past

Just had a thought...probably induced by 'speckled hen'....get the window down and use the hand signals I learned 36 yrs ago.....where would you buy a high vis glove? If one has not been invented yet....dragons den!  Lots of export markets for the left hand as well.
