Post by: Barry_B on 27 January 2010, 15:20:56
3.0. very heavy ''mayo'' in water header tank, no water in oil or on dipstick, is this more likely an oil cooler fault rather than ahead gasket ?

Do not start the engine until you have managed to get it fixed... It'll just circulate the oily sludge and make it almost impossible to get cleared :y :y

Copious amounts of free flowing water and jizer or gunk to act as an oil emulsifier/flusher.

And thats both during and after the oil cooler has been replaced......   ;)

...and strongly advise correct size flair nut spanner for oil pipes, open ended spanner just buggers the nuts it seems.
There is a guide in maintenance i'm fairly sure.
