check the idle control valve. but that would bring a code up. you say you canged the crank sensor have you put all the vac pipes on and pluged all the sensors in.

2.6 does not have ICV, was the crank sensor geniune?

Do the Pedal test to get some codes  :y

Lot of people have had issues with pattern sensors, which was fixed by genuine sensors.

Caran needs to get the codes read!

0335 crank sensor.  I put a new crank sensor on the saloon - genuine Vx from main dealer - lasted less than a month!!  Replaced with a used one I had - ok since!!

Could still be a dodgy one - code should clear if all is well with crank sensor.

cuts out every time i stop, give it some welli and it seems to clear for a while but then plays up again as if i have a fuel blockage

When you fitted the crank sensor, did you make sure it was routed away from the exhaust manifold and heat shield  - as best as possible (due to the short length of cable that comes with the sensor)?

Good pictures here from Mark here:

Wondering if the new one has developed a fault straight due to the cable running to close to the hot parts…

yes fitted the new sensor well away from any heat
did a tech 2 test today which showed lots of old faults . wiped them clean and did all the tests again and no faults showed . running better but still cutting out occasionaly on low revs ,wonder if i have some dirt in fuel , also did a pedal test and the light kept flashing continuously ,is this normal and means no faults ?
