Title: Starter motor on the 3.0v6 - Diagrams / wiring
Post by: sbk1972 on 30 January 2010, 19:06:21
Hi all

Im Simon and I drive a Saab 9000 cse V6, the same V6 thats in your Omegas.  Ive got a problem with my car that causes startingg issue, its either  the switch on the ignition, gearlevel switch or the starter motor.

For the time being Im trying  to install a bypass button, a 12v feed that goes from the battery, via a switch, to the positive on the solenoid on the start motor, butI cant find any diagrams, wiring diagrams to help me, hence this email.:-)

Ive looked around the maintenance section but couldnt find any articales on the startermotors, I must say your guides are tremendous and Ive used a few to sort out a few issues on my engine.

Can anyone help me ???  The start motor is in a difficult poistion, and I cant see the wires, although I can feel them, hence why I need a diagram to trace the wire back to a more easier position to cut in to it.

Luckily our 3.0 V6's are the same, so anything you guys might have will be a bonus.

Once again, many thanks for the fine guides and I do appriecate any help.

Thanks

Simon
