Right, I'm getting really hacked off with mine!! It recently started working only intermittently so since then I've tried 2 spare temp sensors and connectors and repaired a connection in the wires with a good connector and now it doesn't work at all, all I get is "F" in the MID. I can only think there'e possibly another bad connection further back in the wiring loom or something else is amiss. If anyone has any further idea's I'd be grateful as it's playing havoc with my climate control. :'(

mine was giving "F" FOR quite a well bought a new sensor all fixed.

Perhaps seeing the problem with the Tech2?
I also have an "F" on my CID, I have not replaced my sensor but my heater does not heat anymore, unless I select "HI", but if I choose a temperature, I have cold air... Is there a link between two things?

Pretty sure there is no connection with the outside temp sensor. The climate control has it's own air temperature sensor behind the panel. Could be that yours is blocked.

Yes I think you're right... I must to check that... But it's weird, it happened at the same time...

Prefacelift car's outside temp sensor is stand alone.
Facelift cars use the outside temp sensor for he display AND for the climate. Or so the clever ones here say! ;D ;D ;D

I personally don't know Andy... I think all is possible.

Today my display show the outside temperature again... The "F" has disappeared from itself...

i had same problem with my 2.2dti display read f then worked for a while then was reading f all the time and it affected the climate control , turned out to be a broken wire somewhere between outside sensor and in car display , cost £ 200.00 at vauxhall dealer as broken wire was not in an easy to get at place
-
It displayed 68°C today... Waw!

Been there! It'll be a broken wire, probably close to the sensor or the loom connnection plug. Mine was broken inside the insulation, about 2 inches from the multiplug. There are only 2 wires to the sensor (IIRC) - cut em out and splice some new ones in!
