Title: GLS Upgrades...
Post by: steblackwell on 05 February 2010, 21:33:53
Might be getting a GLS saloon and was (well the mrs) wondering if you can add certain things easily... not looking to do for few months just wondering at moment;

1) Rear electric windows or do they come standard

2) Memory/Electric Seats with heaters

3) Front fog lights

Cheers steve

All doable but amount of work involved is dependant on what Tunnie has said

Be very surprised if any of the looms are in place, especially for the rear leccy window conversion

Agreed.

'96 is pre-mini facelift, won't have electric rear windows, electric/memory seats won't be fitted, its possible you could fit it, but as Rob said its unlikely there will be a loom there.

GLS '96 won't have the holes for fog lights on the front bumper, you will either need to cut a space for them or new bumper.

If you want toys, its easier and cheaper to buy an Elite....

I  would have to agree, would make more sense to go for a high spec model and save you the hassle of modifying a lower model. will not be that much more to buy the cdx or elite version over the gls and all the toys are already there saving time too.....
