Hi Guys
Just a quick question. I've had my miggy for just over a year and its got 72k on the clock. The car has had services in the past but not by vauxhall. Now I've read on here that some have had a tech2 service to update the C/C, autobox etc. So my question is is this service essential and how much (guestimate) should I expect to pay vauxhall to do it.
TIA
:)

its very unlikely Vx monkeys would have done the software updates, in my opinion don't take it to them. Take a drive to one of our admins who has tech2, and more importantly knows how to use it!
Prices are here: http://theboy.omegaowners.com/tech2/prices.shtml
Closest people to you would be TheBoy in Brackley on Northants/Oxon/Bucks border, or Kevin Wood, in Alton, Hampshire :y

Thanks for the info Tunnie, I'll bear that in mind.. It wont cause problems to the car if it's not done immediately will it??

Not at all, the software is an upgrade of what's already there. No idea about the climate, but the gearbox upgrade makes gear changes noticably smoother than what you have at the moment. :y :y

Absolutely not, its just a firmware upgrade to both.
Gearbox - much smoother changers both up and down, no surging around 50mph
Climate - Makes fans less 'frantic'

Cheers Guys.
Defo something I'll get done.
