Where are you a couple of omegas in my local breakers

Something to try before you resort to destroying the door card. When I had this I eventually released the lock by pulling up very firmly and continuously on the door button (leaning in through the window from the outside). Keep the pressure up for as long as you can. It's a bit like turning the key with some force on the drivers side when the central locking has failed. It may take several attempts and may not work at all but worth a go.

The whole point of deadlocking is to prevent that from being possible :-/

Where are you Gary?
Try climbing into the passenger seat and pulling up on the button as you lock/unlock the car with the remote, it may just give the motor an extra hand to pop open. You'll need to source a replacement solonoid out though. Try one of the breakers on here.
