Need to buy a replacement radiator for a vauxhall omega Estate 1994 ED Select. 2ltr 8V manual.
Can someone point me in the direction of where this could be bought cheaper than the dealer and if so a part number please? :y
Also how to remove and refit?

Trade Club book (2008 ed) lists two possibles for 2.0 omegas.
Without aircon: Vx part no. 52463044, £167.32 TC
With aircon: 52463046 £162.18 TC
I expect you were looking for something cheaper than even the TradeClub prices, hopefully the Vx part numbers will help you and Google to do so.
Replacement is pretty straightforward. Drain coolant, remove hoses, disconnect fan and thermoswitch (under top hose connection on nearside). Undo fixings and lift out. Transfer thermoswitch (new sealing washer recommended, but perhaps not essential), fan and cowling onto new rad.
Drop/fix in, reconnect everything, refill with coolant.
Mine has no aircon, so I don't know what complexity this may add to the process.

Have removed the old one as you described thank you for that it was very helpful :y
Will let you know how I get on after new one is installed.
The old one was leaking really badly AFTER running the engine for ten minutes, water was pouring out of the seam running down one side towards the release knob. I had thought it was a split under the rad. But having taken the old rad out and gave it a closer inspection, it looks pretty much like a scrape yard job. I'm surprised it lasted the length of time it has.

Have not been able to.
I've been told that there should be two coloured rings on the joins to squeeze and push back towards the bulkhead. But there are NO coloured rings.So I am afriad of damaging the joins or hoses if I force and twist.
Advice would be helpful. 8-)

Sorry for delay in replying.
Matrix hoses yes got them off thank you.
The pipes are clear and no gung in them.
Still no heat, so replacing the thermostat tomorrow.
If that isn't the problem then will go to next step.
I honestly believe it is an air lock...
How can I clear an air lock in the system...is there an easy and quick method.
Ive been running the engine at idle and filling expansion bottle to the top and looking for bubbles, at same time squeesing the top and bottom rad hoses...still no luck.

On the 2 matrix pipes is a black spaceship looking block. Pull the thin pipe off the top and then try the heating inside the car.
