Hi all
Think I need a new cat back exhaust system for our 2.6 MV6
Been pointed in the direction of Eternalcar
Anyone have any experience of them?
Thinking of getting a twin pipe system for a 3 litre
Any advice gratefully received

Helped TB fit one on his 3.0 MV6, fitted quite well for a pattern, although they only supplied half the number of bolts needed :(
Sounded quite good for a pattern, although not as good as propper old school GM.
Can't complain for the money

Been quoted £180+ for a system locally so Eternal definately win price wise, and I think they come with a 2 yr guarantee?

I have had 2 eternal systems.
The first didn't fit too well on my 3.2 estate. One of the centre section pipes needed trimming by about an inch. The second went on fine on my m f/l 3L elite.
They sound ok - a bit throaty in a way. Not perfectly quiet, but I think you'd be struggling these days short of a custom made job.
Eternals responsiveness (notably around the issue I had with the first one) was excellent - hence I bought the second.
They don't come with any fittings unless you order them. I have found the rubber hangers can be reused. You will need 2x 2 1/8" clamps (Halfords), a tube of Holts exhaust fitting goo, and I would suggest 4 8mm stainless bolts. You can order the fitting kit with the zorst but it sounds like TB's was missing bits.
It is well covered on here that getting the front bolts out is a pig. Despite heat and much care, they often shear and need drilling out. (The same GM person that designed the b@stard bolt on the stat decided to have the bolts screw into the cat rather than into centre section otherwise this wouldn't have been a problem ::))
I recommend getting hold of a cobalt drill bit and some lube - worked a treat for drilling out the sheared bolt. :y

don't use cheap drill bits either as that will only cause you more problems!

I had a full cats back exhaust on my 3.0 Estate when I first got the car three or four years ago. Dirt cheap, turned up quickly, took longer to unpack than to fit and hasn't given any trouble since.
Can't comment on the noise as mine sounded like an aeroplane with the old lacework system on ;D

I replaced mine cat back and have had no issues, other than my old bolts shearing ::)
Price, delivery and after service was great so I will definatly use them again. As for the noise it is a little throatier but I prefer it that way :y

just fitted a cat back system on my 3.0 ltr estate :y
good fit and finish
2 x mid sections
1 x mv6 tail box
3 x fitting kits
135 quid delivered :y
mine got lost in the post and took 7 days to get here though so get the tracking number of eternal when you phone to confirm the order :y
if, like me, it goes to the wrong hub in the uk first. stick a claim in to parcel force.
found the kraut call centre very helpfull :y
