You can't do a paper clip test, but you can do the pedal trick.

Bet you get a crank sensor code

Personally, (if Entwood does not mind) i would drop him a PM, he is in your area. He has software to read codes, and belongs to ABS as gets cheap prices at Vx. Its an easy fix too!

Few beer vouchers his way, and you know the job has been done right!

More than happy to help .. PM's sent .. :)

and I "think" the 2.6 CS is the same as mine ...

SENSOR, CRANKSHAFT REVOLUTIONS Y26SE, X30XE, Y32SE        90540743

If so I have an unused spare we can compare with ...   :)

as for price .. I can't help :(  .. I bought one for the 2.5 and when I changed to the 3.2 I asked Skurrays if they could swap it .. and they did ... without any papwerwork !!!

Yup .. I have a TC ... and it saved Grif a small fortune on oil on his last vist...

on your hint .. checked Tc prices ..

2.6/3.0/3.2            90540743        £53.50        £48.20        £41.47

so a saving of £12 .. :)

Plus the Vodka And Tonic saving to.

On the 2.6/3.2, when re-routing the cable I remove the cable tray lid and use a pair of wire cutters to remove a 5mm wide section of the side of the lower tray.

Then pull the crank sensor wire which is part of the main loom back (you have to rip through the fabric tape) and feed it throught the newly created hole.

Re-fit the cable tray lid and connect it all up and jobs a good un

Done and dusted ... but didn't do the cable tray bit, just tie-wrapped the new cable well out of the way.  :)

Snow started as we lifted the bonnet .. and stopped as we lowered it off the stand .... bloody typical !!!

Starts nicely now  :)
