Title: Compatible blind motor?
Post by: djac on 20 February 2010, 17:50:04
This item looks very much like the motor shown in the rear blind removal how-to. Any thoughts on likelihood of compatibility and cost comparison to GM?

The rear blind on my Elite has stopped working, there is a click from the area of the back shelf when I press the button, but no blind.

The last time it worked it sounded smooth and quiet enough so I'm hoping it might have just become stuck.....?

somtimes it can be the bushes on the motor or even a damaged wire check that volts are geting to the motor, if are then get motor fixed or replaced, some one on here may have one or take a look in a scrap yard. :y

A few of us on here have had the blind stop working, just giving a click. Most of the time this has proved to be a poor connection, often the ground wire by the motor. It's worth a try anyway, and certainly fixed mine ok. That was a couple of years back and still working ok.
