Title: Gearbox and back axle oils

Advice please on specs for gear box and back axle oils having recently purchased the car I like to make sure these are ok. Owe for a dipstick on the gear box. 2003 V6 cd Auto

I rate the BOA90LS diff oil from opie oils....its an LS oil (for limited Slip diffs) but, I have a suspicion that the friction modifiers help preserve the pinion seal etc.

I believe that there is a number on the diff which identifies whether slip diff or not is this correct and if so what are the numbers. Or is there another way to tell

I have never managed to find this number yet......

And given that the LS based oil will do no dmaage to non-lsd diffs....just use the LSD based oil

As said, opie oils are recommended for oil supply nad if you register using omegaowners as the club, you get discount.
