Title: indicator switch removal

Does the steering wheel need to come off to remove shroud?

Nope. 3 screws underneath and two screws behind steering wheel at 9 o/c and 3 o/c under screw caps

as above, just turn the wheel to each side to expose the screws holding the top half on.
