Up date. Tick over is high and if reved it takes longer than normal for revs to fall. Checked all wires.

Is this the one that goes on to throttle body?
-
Yes, the throttle body wire. Have a light spray with carb cleaner in the general area to check for air leaks :y

I meant to check the wire first, if that doesn't fix it then the have a spray ;)

Will do.Carnt understand why it would be throttle motor at fault, It must be working for it to rev in first place?

Hi Manny, did you use genuine O rings, if not try spraying some carb cleaner around the plenum to check for air leaks.

Allright pete. Yes got them from vx.£14. If an air leak why the code for throttle body motor? Took plenum off again to check O rings were seated ok and they looked fine?

Just thought on. Yesterday put some cleaner that you spray in the air intake when running.I put some down bag pipes and down breather pipes.Could be problem?
-
UPDATE. Now running ok and spanner light gone out. Took Multi rams off and cleaned them out. The cleaner i sprayed down them must have got on air intake switch over valve as you could hear engine sounding strange on high tick over. Just goes to show that some codes that get thrown up are not the real problem!!! (1500 and 1523). Do the codes that are stored go on there own or do they need to be cleared by tech 2 ? :y

They clear themselves after a number of good starts if the fault is gone, no need for code reader I believe

They might sit in memory as "pending" items, but as long as the EML light is out they are not "current" items.
Several code readers can clear the memory .. not just a tech2.... :)

When they have the meetings do people take along there Tech 2 s? Need to get cruise enabled and get codes cleared at same time.
-
If the owners are at the meets they tend to take the tech2 with them ... :)
Certainly The Lakes and Newent have always had a tech2 there in my experience .. :)
-
When is the lakes meeting? I fancy a trip up to the lake district. ::)
