Have I read on here somewhere that when putting the followers back into the head you should fill them with oil first or am I making that up? :-/

Thanks Jimbob, not seen that before.

Mark said that as they were not noisy before removal I won't need to service them.

I just thought I had read somewhere that I should just pour some oil in them before refitting? :-/

Just squirt a bit around the bodies of them before putting them in to the machined guides and then a squirt of oil on the cam bearings and follower tops before fitting the cams.
