hi has anyone done a egr bypass on a 2.5 td .
is it worth it and is there a how to

Should be able to buy a blanking plate from vx for a couple of quid mate,just blank it and leaveit plugged in,if thats the way it works with deisals. ;)

its supposed to give you better fuel comsumption more bhp and less black smoke just wanted to find out if this is true

No real point on blocking egr on diesels, as the egr plays a fair part in improving economy when cruising

i was told about you get 4 mpg more on the petrol

nearly half a litre per 100 km and a slightly better performance..but bigger benefit is that it doesnt get dirty and become a headache..

ps : shape of metal gasket must match otherwise you can fracture the egr as I did ;D and there must be no leak (I use one metal and a composite to prevent air leak)..
