As my remote key fob is fubard at the mo i have to use the key to open the car and the alarm goes off and only stops when i start the engine....Does anybody know how to disable the alarm or sounder just for a while whilst i get my key fob repaired or replaced cause i dont want to keep upsetting the neighbours with it going off every time i go to the car....Thanx :y

2 options, 1- leave it unlocked, 2- get it recoded
sadly the only 2 options, other than having the sounder disconnected but then serves no purpose.

Lock the car by pressing the driver`s button from the rear door.
Alarm is then not set

Have a similar issue (due to a lazy door locking motor on the drivers side) - and if my dad forgets to use the central on the key locking before manually unlocking the door with the key, the alarm goes off sometime....
Rob - could you please expand on what you mean by pressing the "driver's button from the rear door" ? Is the button on the rear door..... ? (sorry, this must sound really dense!! ;D )

Exit car & shut driver`s door. Open rear O/S door, press doorpin down on driver`s door and shut rear door. Door locked, alarm not set. :y
Got a driver`s locking motor here if you need one :)

Koomorph, Robg means - close drivers door open rear drivers side door and push the front drivers door lock down (locking all for doors) then close the rear door.
