Is it just in my car , an 03 estate, that there seems to be a cold air coming from the gap below the front fascia ash tray and the console section . The gap is about 10mm , the full width of the console swinging into both foot-wells at about knee level and always seem very cold (this time of year). Is it meant to be a vent ? or is something adrift behind the dash, I cant really detect an actual 'flow' of air but the knees are deff cold compared to the rest of the car .......... Any thoughts on this .

whoops ...read that as draught.....

Theres a pipe that feeds cold air to behind the Double Din Head Unit, could be that.
Have you taken the HU out or fitted something else in its place.

Thanks Chris, Nope , nothing has been moved in that region. What is the cold pipe you mention feeding air to ? and what drives it , fan or car movement ? cheers

It feeds the back Heat Sink of the Head Unit, passinger side, any buttons missing on the dash or has the lower dash bit been butchered?, is it ex Police?
Have a picture of it some where, I'll dig it out.
