Title: Dropped Coin in electrics???
Post by: pmd123 on 12 March 2010, 10:35:37
Hi

We have had our Omega for a couple of months now and it has been great.

Fool that I am though, I dropped a coin this morning which has slid under the ashtray on the front dashboard and into a gap there, does anyone know if this can get into the electrics or if there is a shelf to stop this happening?

Not sure if there is any way i can get in to get this out myself or if it needs to go into a garage to sort out.

If anyone has any advice on this I would be grateful.

Cheers
Paul

I'm sure it'll do harm. Cut your losses & leave it be for the moment. You're likely to have to mend something at some time around the the console so you can retrieve it then  ;D  ;D  ;D
Worse place to lose a coin is down the tunnel side of front electric seats (forwards & backwards) which can prevent the seat from moving properly.  :y

theres nothing below it . you can take the ashtray out by popping the insert out and right at the back theres a philips scre , undo this and the whole ashtray unit comes out .

You could try using a telescopic magnet tool to have a fish around in there :y

Is that deliberately funny? If not perhaps that is how Mr Brown takes all my money back.
