Now i've got an adapter for my ramps, I'm going under tomorrow, weather permitting, to investigate an oil leak. My question is this...the oil leak is small and only shows by oil sitting on top of the sump at the very bottom of the engine and towards the front only from what i can see.
It doesn't appear to be the cam gaskets so where, down there, can it be seeping from to help me on my visual investigation.

exactly that, looked for all the world like it was one of the sensors that plug in that area, drivers side on mine, but it was actualy comming from the cam cover right in the corner by the cam baring on pot 1, and running down the back of the cam belt cover behind the aux tensioner, bugger to get in there but if you can get your hand in and feel oil you found the culpret.

have a look here, on re reading Markdtm had it spot on straight away, as usual, The Master.
Might help you diagnose, one way or the other.

he he he... It WON'T come as a surprise to hear that the leak IS coming from higher, without doubt the drivers side cam cover.
Time to post a change request !
