Title: fuel leak

sorry for terrible dicription!!
while under the car today i noticed that there was a fuel leak its coming from a small silver box which has 4 bolts or something of that nature i cant really see as its not easily visable has any one got an idea how to fix?can it just be tightend or need a replacement?i think by feel they are torqe bits but not sure it a 2.5 td

under the car? or do you mean the top of the injector pump?
cant think of anything else that would fit the description?

Sorry yes top of engine rh side has 4 bolts or torque screws on it looks to be on the pump yeh should I tighten them or wil they thread?

Had a quick look and looks to be the pump what's leaking is on the side of the pump I can't see if they are nuts or not

thought so, before touching it check the egr vacuum connection on the inlet manifold above the pump this often leaks onto the injector pump and looks like a leak fom the pump!! :y

edit think the 4 bolts one at least is a security bolt which requires a particular tool to fit

Not the egr leaking as I can see it comin from the pump what are they?bolt or something else and where do I get the tool if it is security?

i  didnt tell you this but if your careful you can tap a small socket on it to tighten it, but i take no responsibility if you damage it!!!

nt tell you this but if your careful you can tap a small socket on it to tighten it, but i take no responsibility if you damage it!!!i  did
same here if i mind wright it 7mm socket needed ::)
DON'T HIT IT TO HARD i replaced mine with a normal bolt.
also check the dome bit at the back of this bit it has a wire attached it might be loose. :y
