Starting with the basics...

1) Ensure the oil level is sufficient

2) Ensure it is the correct grade

3) If this doesn't cure it, check the strainer in the sump... It may be some bits old gasket have got into the sump, down the oilways... not unheard of in the case of head gasket changes...

Not sure where the pressure switch is in relation to the pump output/oil filter ...  but it might be worth just changing the oil filter  ??? Easier job than dropping the sump !!

If the Px switch is on the output side of the filter, and the filter has done its job and picked up any crud from the gasket change .. it could be the reason ???

I know which I'd rather do, and for the sake of the cost of a filter .....   :)

I once had that on a Vectra. Came back from a VX service and then when it was warm the oil light would flicker. On motorways I would get "check oil" on the dash from time to time. I changed the sender switch and it still did it. I couldn't be ar*ed to drop the sump and have a look at the pick up strainer so sold the car. Bet that's what the prob was though.I'll never know now ::)
