Offside rear door locking actuator sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. And when it does work it only works very reluctantly! (Like, "ok, if I really must, but only in my own time!".)
Any ideas?

Both the links worked ok for me!
Neither of them talk about the rear door - which is where my problem is. But aside from that it seems an awful lot of work to fix what I currently cope with by simply reaching round the door pillar and (un)locking the door manually!!
If someone had said "squirt some oil into hole "A" and operate the lock a few times" I'd have gone for it. But a door strip? Nah!

You're better off sorting your problem now while your car allows you to pull the lock manually. If it decides to fail deadlocked ...... you'll be called rotten if all your rear seat passengers have to use just the one rear door cos they can't open the other dead locked door ::) ::) ::)
And it's not difficult to remove a door card to get to the CDL motor ....... just done it to my driver's door. ;)

Good point! I hadn't thought of the 'deadlocked' scenario!!
Is it a "new motor" jobby? Or do they just get bunged up with crud (fixable with a WD40 washout and re-lube)?
Are there any hidden 'surprises' I need to look out for when pulling the rear door card?

I've just replaced them. Sometimes a good lub'ing of all the linkages can sort locking problems ..... but with a proper lub ie not WD40, a can of chain lub is quite effective, as it penetrates & & stays put. :y
