Its referred to as the 'MID' PM one of our breakers, they are sure to have one spare.
Replacement needs to come from same spec/transmission, any others would need re-programming with tech2. Also needs to be similar age as the connector changed at some point :-/
-

-
Scan this section:

From what I have read the pre-facelift displays are prone to missing pixels but the later displays are much more reliable.
Has anyone tried grafting a later display into an earlier car?
-
Is it an LCD screen you require or a dot matrix one?
-
guessing its the dot matrix one as it looks pretty basic
-
Have a read of this guide Omega Display Types (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1153215783)
-
yea its the early type MID
-
they are repairable but wont last long.. heat kills the connections in the long term.. I repaired them with some sticky bandage but work normal only a few months..
-
I've got a spare one kicking around. Wait there a sec and I'll check what sort it is ...

Ah, unlucky. Looks like my spare is a TID. Only half the unit is screen with a single grey plug with 2 rows of 16 pins. Part number 090565935.
-
i haven't taken it out yet to see the pin connectors been stripping the engine since Friday will take out the MID tomorrow after work to see what connector type mine if is not of to the scrappys many thanks all
-
Any luck?
-
been looking round breakers and it seems there harder 2 find than the holy grail might have to do the bandage trick someone was on about
-
Yeah, dot matrix screens are a bit famous for failing. A bit like the Philips CD multichanger units.
