My 2.6 V6 got written off in a smash in January and Ive just got hold of 2.2 DTI 02 plate with 80K on it.
How many miles can these things do to the full tank?

and can any one tell me what the fuel tank capacity is for the 2.2DTI.

On the motorway my 2.2DTi estate has a range of over 620 miles, on my normal commute it's more like 550 miles.
-
Fuel consumption (urban) 28.8 mpg
Fuel consumption (extra urban) 48.7 mpg
Fuel consumption (combined) 38.7 mpg
Tank holds 70 ltrs
Depends how you drive, it's possible to get 500-600 from a tank full. I read some one had near on 600 from a TD on a tank full.
Do the maths from the figures above :y

Doesn't sound too bad, I believe that these cars have a 75 litre tank, so that's at least 35mpg.
the 2.6 V6 had a 65 litre tank and I was lucky to get 300 miles out of it.
-
Yeah 70 litres ish, I can't be bothered to go get my manual, it's in there.
Don't know whether they changed the capacity on the Dti, from TD.
I know I can achieve easily 46 mpg from my TD, on a long run keeping to the speed limits, motorway cruising etc.
Got 43mpg recently on a long run, mixed motorway/A roads not hanging around either, so good really :y
Dti supposed to be more economical than the TD.

all saloon tanks are the same petrol / vs diesel, Estate tanks are different

i'm paying 2k for this 02 2.2dti plate with full service history from vauxhall 1 month tax and 7 months mot left. Its got 80k on the clock.
The guy says he will do an oil service and provide the receipt if I pay the asking price.
Good deal?
-
Have to say, i'm very happy with what i got for the 2k I dished out today. Driving back to london from lincoln I was getting a range of 450 miles with about 45 litres in the tank.
It was driving spot on too. Much prefer it to the 2.6 V6 I had.
Im a happy larry, long live my 2.2dti!
-
Look after it well, especially regular oil changes and it will serve you well :y

Thanks Mick,
I'm getting the impression the Omega diesels are quite rare, while I was looking there were only 20 available nationally in autotrader!.
I wish I had gone down the diesel route earlier, I've saved about 35% in the last week.
