Title: Been offered a 2.5 TD Auto...
Post by: Psychoca on 24 March 2010, 16:55:34
I have been offered a Facelift 2.5TD Automatic, which won't autochange...   I was wondering what the problem was likely to be and whether it is an expensive fix or not

the first thing to check is the auto oil levels i was told by a few guys in here,

i have one myself which im having trouble with, i own a 97 model with the weak ar25 autobox,

but i think on laer models thay used the stronger ar35 auto box,,

so just give it a service and see how it goes i think there is a thread in the maintanance section

I don't believe that the AR35 was ever factory fitted (I'm sure that TB will confirm)
