I can't find any reference to 0334 mate, are you sure you read the code properly? 0335 would be a problem with the crank sensor, 0340 is the cam sensor HTH :-?

Are you certain of the code ???

this page, 2.0 - Simtec 56 2.0l Fault Codes,  doesn't list a 0334

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1206569945

but an 0335 would explain the symptoms.

this page, 2.0 - Simtec 56.0/56.1 2.0l 16V Fault Codes, gives 2 digit codes

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1207565476

:(

Be warned - I seem to remember that this item has been upgraded and there is a modification to the wiring......

It's just something lying far back in the grey matter, so it may be a load of rubbish!
