parts man tells me, 7 to 10 days as they are coming from Germany.
Kyb tell me they dont do them for the facelift mv6, ie not lowered, so genuine it is, only £30 odd more on tc and for the differance i think i'd prefer gm anyway....
Shocks are no problem...
So presumably its just the rarity of the mv6 fl model ? not many left, or i'm the only one stupid enough to order genuine springs? although i'm not sure what else would work?
Also i suppose i should fit the center tie rod bit, goes between the track rod ends, to match the lower ride hight? or is it track rod ends as well?
This is going on the front of my Elite. Rear staying self levelling until i can confirm lsc springs will work with sl shocks.

any thoughts?

just looking in tradeclub, and shocked the MV6 springs are cheaper than the ordinary!
even so £5-600 on springs!!!!
May I be the 1st to congratulate you on your obvious lottery win ;D

pair front shocks
pair front springs
2 insignia washer jets
4 check strap bushes
Total £240 inc vat. on tc.
Would only be about £30odd cheaper if using kyb springs i believe...if they made that spec of course, and even then for 30 sobs i'd rather have genuine i believe.?

ahhh, thought you were going for all 4.....

just put kyb springs on the back to go with self levelling shocks. S.L. shocks will have to stay due to extra weight of tow bar, lpg tank, and tools etc.
But if mv6 lowered sports chassis rear springs will work with self level shocks then i'll do the back as well. The kyb's can go in the for sale section, but not any time soon.

i got a full set of lowered springs for sale but i can advertise them on here yet, (not enough posts) they are on fleebay at the moment
jim :y
as for fitting lowered springs with self leveling shocks all you have to do is shorten the link bar between the sensors... take the fuse out for the pump,as not to confuse it, measure the link bar, then fit springs and measure the difference and make the bar the right length...i was going to do this on my Elite but i have decided i like the way it rides...

Subtle as a sledge hamer ;D
Pssst !!! quick and easy way around the insufficient post count is to make an effort. :y ;)

main concern is weather the shocks will work at the lower ride hight and or not blow the seals, they are a little fragile i believe and are 150 a pair on tc.
Although i would think stiffer springs should give the shocks an easier time?...should.
Parts man tells me plod just add self levelling to some of their mv6's that carry extra load, but would need more proof than his say so. I've not seen any evidence of that.
Would think mv6 springs would work with sl shocks, but there is no rush so time to ask the question... :)

You could always adjust the self levelling to suit the new ride height.
I assume it's normal for the SL shocks to take a fair proportion of the load because once it's all on the springs and the air has been let out the system can't adjust it any lower?

yes they fully extend under thier own power with no air, so they do support the car.
I've not tried it with the current kyb's fitted, but the previous pair of springs, when all the air was let out of the shocks, the car didnt drop at all when measuring floor to wheel arch, but then the tow bar and lpg tank where not fitted at that point, so def worth doing that test again with the current load, may be a case for stiffer springs on those grounds alone i suppose?
