HI DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A HOW TO FOR REMOVING An ALTERNATOR FROM A 2001 2.6 omega est...stuck!!!!!
-
or any advice with removing as have undone all the bolts and still will not budge have i missed something...?????
-
Ok, so you have removed the 2 alternator securing bolts (the big long ones?).
If yes then get a large screwdriver or small pry bar and stick is between the upper alternator mount and the engine casting and ease it out.
Once removed you will see some sliding bushes in the alternator casting, these move and grip the block casting when the bolts are tightened...its worth tapping them out slightly with a hammer before attempting a re-fit.
