Title: Exhaust manifold needs needs replacing
Post by: blakjak on 27 March 2010, 15:19:32
Hi how easy is it to change an exhaust manifold on a V6 engine and where would you start from inside the engine or underneath and would it be sensible to let a qualified mechanic do the work or someone like myself who knows a bit of mechanic might be able to attempt it.

Sorry m8,
Just like a 69er - you do it from top and botton ! I have done it once and it is a s**t of a job. Pay the price and get someone else to lose skin and patience.
Does'nt matter which way you try, its as arkward a job as you could ever find!
Wish I could have been more positive  :'(

I think it depends which side. Drivers side is much easier than passenger side I am led to believe.

I have just done mine but I had the heads off the car to do the head gasket so much easier :y
