Title: poor am radio reception

Hi can any help very poor reception on am freq
when car is running more so ?? :(

Just curious why you want to listen to a.m. radio with all of its pops, crackles and channel fading? Change to f.m. and the problem will probably go away. First thing to have checked is the alternator, its capacitor might have started to break down which leads to a whining/whistling that increases with engine speed.
Apart from that you can see if all of the ariel connections and earth groundings are sound and clean. Perhaps it is the radio tuner that is on its last legs too. Nothing last forever these days.
Sadly, problems like this are solved usually by trial and error until the culprit makes itself known. Do it yourself as much as you can because most auto electricians will have your arms and legs off, then come back for the other bits.
