Post by: mr ICE man on 04 April 2010, 16:05:51
I've just bought a 2.5 v6 m reg onle 80000 on the clock cam belt done plugs and leads And full service of oil and gearbox done before purchase but below 3000 revs it's very slow in my opinion after that it's goes great!could there be a fault and if so where do start?

Who did the cambelt change? I would check the timing settings on the cams, as a tooth or two out will definately affect power. :y

I don't know as it was done before I bought it but I was told it was someone off here that did it.but as soon as it hits 3000 it is like a different car.

Nope, physically check each one. Front one is down between bag pipes, forget where the back one is, passenger side back of plenum iirc

I've checked the multirams and the back one on the engine is open at tickover. How do I fix it? The front is fine tho....
