Is there a permanent fix out there for the Omega 2.5TD hot starting problem?

Had a look at it and look into buying one.
Has anyone on this forum ever stripped down the Bosch VP37 pump and rebuilt it?
Is it also possible to connect an inline diesel primer pump with a non return valve?
