Title: oil leak

changed oil leak has now started to run from star scew  on sump is there any thing i can do to stop leak scew is tight :o

Did you use a new "O" ring?

New rubber o-ring and/or new sump plug.  The plug with the rubber o-ring is a fairly low torque plug - dead easy to overtighten!!

Edit - must type faster  :-/

10nm !

Put o ring in other way up, but ultimately new sump bolt. Don't overtighten

a friend of mine changed the oil for me is the sump bolt a star screw as i am new to this :o

Yes. Sounds as if the O ring is either missing or not seated in its groove properly. ;)

Dropped into the old oil, that's where the Gnome usually looses mine. ;D
