Hi i am a newb and this is my first posting.
can anyone give me some idea on what is happening when i sometimes want to come to a halt at a road junction the revs drop below normal and the car stalls and i get some lights come on ie. brake, generator etc type lights
The car is a vauxhall omegs 2 litre R reg,
I would appreciate if someone can help

First thing to try would be to clean the ICV (Idle Control Valve).

Throttle body, ICV and breather clean as per the maintenance guide requried

Hi kevin the fuse box in my r reg omega is not under the steering wheel but under the bonnet, is there another such test for my car.

look again, a little more thoroughly, there is a catch at the top dead centre, under the steering wheel to release the cover.
sounds most like a good service needed, with the bits above doing, but there may be faults logged too :y

Clean the ICV, etc. first and you might not need to worry about the code read. ;)
