hi i would like to ask 1 thing if i may if u have to remove say the drivers side sprokets and u got them mixed up because they both have exhaust and inlet marking does it matter what cam they go on this is just refering to the drivers side head if u can and did put them on the wrong way would the engine still start abit of a strange question

No as they have 1 & 2 stamped on both, just as long as you get the number 1 on the number 1 bank, number 2 on number 2 bank :y
Number 1 being Drivers Side
Number 4 being Passenger Side

Or expressed using different words....
On no 1 camshaft use the timing mark next to the 1
On no 2 camshaft use the timing mark next to the 2
On no 3 camshaft use the timing mark next to the 3
On no 4 camshaft use the timing mark next to the 4

Its not just down to the belt timing marks, you have to get the camshaft dowel into the correct slot in the cam sprocket first.
eg. Drivers side inlet is cam No 2. fit the sprocket so that the dowel is in the slot marked '2' and use the timing mark '2' when refitting the belt.

I wish I had a better memory. :-/
It must be 7 or 8 years since I changed the head gaskets on my last V6 and I simply cannot remember there being two slots. I must have got it right though :y
