135 coil pack as well perhaps? any cracks in the plastic, swollen rusty inards? any chafing on the wiring round the back of the block? any damage to the plug or furry pins?

No cracks, can't see any chafing, plug looks fine, only happened in 3rd at full throttle after a change from second. Has 0305ed now a couple of times at full throttle highish revs on petrol

is it me or is it always (or at least quite often) the 135 bank that plays up?
might be worth tech 2ing for a closer look, maybe fueling related, swap injector over ans see if the code follows it...maybe? struggling tbh

Nearest T2 is Brackley, swapping injectors - not plenum off again!! The cut injector cables may be an issue here as once they were on I can't get them off.

Last time I had a spate of these the problem was plugs 5 and 1 were same colour and same state

i suppose if its worse on gas then spark related, if no problem on gas then petrol/injector related?

No problem at low throttle, gas won't work on full throttle high revs, so can't test.

Basically it cuts out 5 when full throttle and high revs are used for a while, flat out accelerating has done it 3 or 4 times in the last month or so, usually when near end of 2 or going into 3.

It idles smoothly

Could it be worth chucking some injector cleaner through?

DUmped in some Redex (I had some already) CPs are 112 + VAT at the dealer :o :o

Seen some on Ebay for about £80

Will see what happens when I collect the van from storage.

If I can't use full throttle full revs towing how can I pee off the slow cars ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sounds like a weak spark on that cylinder, TBH. I'd change plugs anyway, and, if that doesn't fix it, suspect coil pack.

Bad injector wiring would raise a P020x fault, IME.

Doesn't mean it's not a bad injector with perfect wiring, of course. :y

Well happened on the way home, only full load high revs, not high revs.

WIll order a CP as soon as I have some money on paypal, cleared out what was in there on a Bosch MAF (which made a big difference)

Happened just before changeup, slight engine note change, slight drop in power, flashing light

No no, i knew what he ment, just not sure why, having concluded it needs a new coil pac, a couple of days later we're suprised its not fixed itself. It needs a new coil pac Martin, provided the wiring to it is ok of course.

Its only going to get worse, and the current codes cant be a suprise surely?
