Suspect if runs ok at normal revs ,then your problems could well be the ICV...just remove it and give it a really good clean through with some carb cleaner then a spot of light oil on the moving sleeve...read through the maintenance section for accurate details.
If you have an air leak best way to locate then is light spray of carb cleaner to see if engine revs then increase indicating when the carb cleaner is being drawn into the engine.

Silver coloured cylinder on R/H side of plenum as viewed from the front of car...has a rubber hose on it and an electrical plug at the back...just sitting into a rubber sleeve which pushes into the top plenum chamber.

Controls amount of air being allowed into engine under idle, give it clean with some carb cleaner
