Hi All,
My Mig failed its MOT today 'cos both rear springs are broken!! >:( I havn't looked yet, but apparently its just an inch or so snapped off the bottom end, which is enough for them not to sit properly.... :-/ Thus the fail..... :'(
Does anyone have a set For Sale? Sorry Admins, I havn't got enough posts to put up a wanted.... Desperate times = Desperate Measures ;D :D

They are only about £20 £25 new each on ebay probably cost that second hand (quoted £266 pair from vauxhall)
-
get a pair of KYB from buypartsby :y
really wouldnt go 2nd hand for standard springs tbh....especially with your added lpg tank weight
if you are desperate for 2nd hand, create a wanted ad in the test section and ill move it for you :y

Thanks Guys thats good advice, I hadn't thought about the extra weight of the LPG tank :o Assuming that its still on the originals, they've been bouncing along for 190,000 miles now, which can't be bad!! :)
Why KYB Jimbob? Are they beefier than standard? or a good brand?
Thanks again!! :y

KYB are good quality springs at a reasonable price. If you look at the springs on ebay you'll notice that the pigtails (the ends) are the same diameter as the rest of the spring whereas OE and OE spec springs are tapered at the ends.

progressive rate :y :y

Yes, KYB are a known quality, you never really know with some of the cheap ebay jobs. any of the good brands are fine, I just know a fair few of us use the KYB (fitted some myself a few weeks ago) and all have been happy.

Many Thanks again for the advice guys. KYB it is.... just ordered from buypartsby.com.... £66.65 delivered :y
