Am I correct in thinking that the powersounder can be unplugged without affecting anything else.

Yes

I find its best to remove said item, take it to the local clay pidgeon shooting place, shout pull and blast the dam thing to bits with a 12 bore!

Can anyone supply a part number for what should be on my 2003 2.2 petrol ..... i might replace mine  :y
