Title: Airbag Warning Light - What does this code mean?
Post by: Elsheepo on 27 April 2010, 12:10:20
Hi all,

Please don’t scorn me for admitting to using a cheap USB ‘Tech2’ impersonator, I’m not wanting to discuss the actual hardware/software itself, just one of the error codes that I am unable to remove.

I have managed to clear all of the engine fault codes (I had to replace the crank sensor yesterday), and initially the airbag warning light too (which has been on for as long as I can remember…) but after a short drive it has come back on again.  The software is reporting the following code:

00031      Driver Airbag ignition circuit---resistance too high

Any advice on what the fault could be and hopefully, a remedy to resolve it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Without a full check out it's just an educated guess but... Probably the Squib :y

I've got a pre/mini-facelift steering wheel airbag here with all associated wiring. Fancy a run up and we'll work our way through it all? :y
