Title: Trade Cards
Post by: Mikes1670 on 28 April 2010, 17:27:57
Is it worth buying a trade card? :-/ How much discount do you get with them and are they readily accepted? :-?

assuming Vx trade cards? You don't buy them, its free to join 'Trade Club' and discounts are massive in some cases, not so in others.

Best example is oil 4 x 5L 10/40 Semi Synth on trade is about £35+ vat, its nearer £80 retail!

Can you join if you aren't "in the trade" so to speak?

Got mine through AutoBahnStormers.

Best thing I've ever done. Saving a fortune on just about everything.

Oil and filters of course plus a cam sensor. Normal price was quoted at £117.00. TC price £58.00

Just as an FYI there is now a new company running all of GM Trade Clubs.

I do know for a fact that they will be cracking down on "non trade" cards and if you read the t's & c's they can revoke your card.

We now have to register new members on line and i've already had a few problems getting new customers set up and in some cases we have to suppliy VAT numbers and company regerstraion numbers, so please don't be suprised if you get knocked back.

The other way around its as already stated is to join the ABS, good bunch and know there stuff or if your really want to you can just give me a call :y

All the best
Andy
