Title: paper clip test
Post by: kevyn on 30 April 2010, 10:00:52
Hi, being a newbie and loving my 157,000-no problems- v_reg-2.5 omega (until now), i was wondering if anyone can show me a link to the famous 'paper-clip' code test? The orange managentment light has just come on and it's a tiny bit sluggish now. The dealer wants £100 just to give me a code which i find absolutely disgusting.  :-/

Telltale you can ignore, it's a warning that the bulb you watched flash isn't working ;D ;D

Check the plug for injector 2 is clean, dry and fully pushed home. :y

82   Injector Valve 2 Voltage Low

135   Telltale (Checklight) Voltage Low

82 is the key one, have you had any work done on the car recently?

Check the plug to the injector it self and also check the wiring room for the injector setup multiplug at the back of the passenger cylinder head for wiring damage

heroes! :) one of the yellow plugs was loose. how? before i took off the top cover, i noticed a silver cylinder (bosche) attatched to the right side. does anyone know what this is? I seem to get a strange whinning noise from there as i start the engine and it goes off after a few seconds.

Idle Control Valve, Don't know why it'd whine on start up though, it's a motor driven valve that regulates air around the throttle valve.
