Fitted the exhaust down pipe with new flexi (Thanks MrDTM) to father tunnies 2.2 other day, it is causing a bit of vibration when cold which is being heard as a rattle. :-/
While under it, i pushed a 1/2 extension bar against the passenger side centre section of the exhaust and it stops, put a feather on the throttle and it goes as well. Its also fine under idle when warm, its just when cold :-/
But as soon as you pull off its fine, had feel around can't feel any exhaust gasses escaping from the join after cat or down pipes, its nice and quiet.
When i did mine, i found under load the exhaust would vibrate a tad and hit the heat shield as the replacement flexi made the down pipe slightly longer, but on this one can't see it touching anything :-/

Could just be "Natural Resonance" try refitting trying to push the pipes slightly futher together.

Is the centre sections baffles buggered?
Is the cat ok ?

Cat seems ok, rattle is defo from the middle to back of the car, need to start my 2.2 and compare how much vibration is there.
Possible i did not bolt it to manifold correctly? Can't see/hear a blow on that :-/
